Elizabeth “Liz” Brewster is the Administrative Assistant for Baron & Budd’s office in Chico, California. She joined the firm in November 2018 after losing her home and her hometown of Paradise to the Butte County Camp Fire. At the time of the blaze, Liz was working on building a small farm to serve her community. She hoped to be able to partner with Butte County to provide fresh produce and eggs, as well as locally sourced/crafted wares, to low-income children and seniors as well as carbon-conscious citizens. The fire may have slowed her progress on that front, but it gave her an opportunity to help her neighbors in a different way – by working with Wildfire Recovery Attorneys to help them recover and rebuild.
Prior to becoming an aspiring farmer, Liz worked in hospitality management for 18 years. Though she loved working to create memorable experiences for her guests and developing her team members into leaders, she left the business in 2017 to get back to her Paradise roots. A mountain girl at heart, she loves the outdoors, whether it’s hiking down the canyon with a good friend or lounging in a hammock with a good book.
Liz graduated from California State University, Chico, with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in English. She currently volunteers with the Paradise Little League, managing a baseball team and serving on the board. She has two sweet rescue dogs, Meeka and Arya, and one ornery old cat, Elvis.
